Ginkgo Goes Digital
We're excited to announce that our new website has launched! Recently we've been busy developing our online presence and wanted to tell you a little more about our digital journey over the past year.
Since we opened our gallery in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter five years ago, we have been thrilled to watch our community grow, giving us the opportunity to work with wonderful woodworkers and jewellers from across the UK, as well as meet visitors to our gallery who always have lovely things to say about our collections. We enjoy being able to offer people the best in handmade British design, whether that’s a piece we have on display ready to take home or a bespoke, one-off commission designed specifically to the customer’s style and preferences.
Due to the effects of COVID-19 over the past year, as meeting people in person became difficult and at times impossible, the internet has become a vital tool for going about our daily lives. From filling our work diaries with team zoom meetings, to keeping in touch with friends and loved ones over text and video call, to staying connected to our favourite businesses while we can’t visit in person.
During the intermittent lockdowns in the UK, at Artisan Alchemy we’ve been looking for ways to utilise our digital presence more effectively to connect with both existing and new audiences. We hope you have enjoyed the range of content we’ve been releasing, from our Maker In Focus blog posts to our #MicheleMoodboardMonday and #InMichelesGarden series on social media. While we have had to close our doors to visitors we have loved sharing what goes on behind the scenes.
Previously we have had three websites for Artisan Alchemy, Michele White and Artisan Artemy. The new website brings the three together, so that you can find everything you love in one place. We aim for this to reflect the intimate atmosphere of the gallery, while also creating a coherent, accessible online shopping experience.
We hope you enjoy using this website as much as we have enjoyed building it! We’ll be keeping you in the loop about what we’re up to on our social media and blog. Head to the bottom of our homepage and sign up for our newsletter if you haven't already, to make sure you don’t miss anything.
