Milano Jewellery Week

20-23 October 2022

Milano Jewelry Week is the yearly event entirely dedicated to the world of jewellery. Through different events, Milano Jewelry Week develops within exclusive and evocative locations in the city: historic buildings, high jewellery ateliers, goldsmith workshops, academies, art galleries, fashion boutiques and design show.

Milano Jewelry Week creates moments of exchange and interaction, captivating trade operators and at the same time putting the whole public of enthusiasts and curious in contact with the world of jewels. It is a great opportunity to expand your network, exchange knowledge, establish relationships with potential customers, get in touch with new markets, enhance your brand identity.

Over 700 exhibitors from 40 different countries will be displaying more than 8,000 jewels. 

Michele is excited to be showcasing her first bangles at Milano Jewelry Week, specially designed and handmade for the event.

Handmade Chelsea

11-13 November 2022

Curated and organised by Handmade in Britain since 2007 in the iconic Chelsea Old Town Hall, on Kings Road Handmade Chelsea is one of the most established and longest running event in the UK craft calendar, that celebrates the very best of British craftsmanship. 

Featuring the very best of over 100 UK-based Contemporary designer makers, both established and emerging, a vast range of disciplines will be represented from glass and ceramics, jewellery and fashion, prints and textiles, to sculpture and wood. This year, Handmade Chelsea will be celebrating fifteen years and will take place in the form of a dual-model. Those wishing to take part in our event will be able to do so both in-person at the beautiful Chelsea Old Town Hall and/or digitally through our dedicated online platform.

Where it all began...

This beautiful piece is the first landscape agate brooch that Michele ever made almost 45 years ago. She took her inspiration from a weeping willow tree in the garden of her neighbour. About 30 years ago the willow blew down in a storm. It was picked up, popped back in the ground and has continued to grow happily ever since! (see below)

Many of the same techniques and details found in this brooch can be seen in Michele's more recent landscape brooches. She has since developed her uniquely intricate designs, using a variety of precious metals and stones. 

These close ups show the layers of detail create by Michele. Elements of the agate stone are carried on in the use of line and texture in the metal.
